    New tyres last week....

We went up to Sydney to get some new tyres for the Defender last week so I threw the original 22" rims on the tray and got a set of 275/40-22 Atturo AZ850s fitted. I have been running these on the 21"rims I acquired 18 months or so ago and have got 65,000km out them so far and am very happy. $250.00 a tyre fitted at St George tyres.

Pity I didn't say how many KM was on it in the last post, I've just clicked over 200,000KM and had a flat yesterday. After cursing at getting the spare out of the boot I realised that the flat one isn't worth patching. Pretty sure that they were fitted at about 130,000 or so. Overall I'm very happy with the Atturos and would happily have them again. I've gone with Kumho Crugens for $340 a corner from Tyroola and fitted in Canberra. Unfortunately I'm too busy for a trip to Sydney for tyres to get another set of Atturos.

I recently replaced my Mickey Thompson A/Ts with the current version of the same. I was disappointed with the 80,000km. There is still legal tread on them, but the rubber has gone hard and cracked.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
