    Make sure you have a misfuelling reset device in case you upset it, not sure if yours has one but worth checking.

    Or pour the 10L into a jerry can first (normal funnel), and then use the pourer as is....

    This is what I ended up with-- the 10L Pro Quip container has an air bleed valve so it flows fast!

    In theory that drum clamp should be ok but in practice even after carefully dressing the sealing face of the drum a number of times I could never get it to work/seal properly so binned it & wondered if the plastic bit distorted when it was tightened?


    A wheelie bin you say Paul? Wheelie?
    I know they can be used for all sorts of reasons, a mobile ice box is one I have seen. One really needed a drink to dive into the ice water to find a Stubbie.


    EDIT. Just had another close look & now reckon the "Tin Plate" base on mine is far too light compared to that same piece on a Proper Jerrican. I thought I had binned it but found it hanging on a nail in the shed.


    Now shesa goner.

    Wood or Brass? Have seen both.

    The wooden ones would be ideal to start a campfire if one is caught short.

    A Petrol saturated stick, what could possibly go wrong?

    Not much,can’t think of anything going wrong

    Back on topic.

    Can’t remember dipping it,fuel gauge was one of the few things that didn’t play up,not bad for around 67 years old.

    Unlike the fuel pump,generator,starter,etc,etc,etc.

    I use a long plastic cable tie,one we use on AC flexes,for the water tank in the Tojo.Works well.
