    Weights Spreadsheet

    Hi all,

I am thinking of moving from my current D4 to a RRS but I need to do some maths first for my towing/camping usage. Comparing the D4, D5 & RRS.

Greg Milner did a great spreadsheet for the D4 to help you estimate weights.
Have I got my weight sums right?

Just wondering if anyone had done a conversion of it for the RRS. I don’t have access to one to take any of the measurements.
    All the best,

    Laurie

I tow a 3.3 fully loaded Zone 20.6 with a RRS. Weight is an issue especially for the SDV8. Two on board no luggage full fuel 320 TOw Ball weight and I am just about at Max rear axel. I have changed out both Lead acid batteries for itech LIOP Start batteries, and removed both rear mufflers.

Only weight in car is tools and a small fridge. Run roof rack with solar panel.

    Hey Bails!

I understand a comparison is hard after the fact--

Do you remember the car being louder inside after the muffler delete??

My wife who is a little hearing impaired , could not notice the difference. There is a slight increase which I like. Overall a great option IMO.
