My pioneer us Android auto compatible but a couple of months ago, a phone update had made it not work. It worked perfectly and now they want something called weblink and it's absolutely stupid. It does not work. It does not have same functionality. So now I cannot use my head unit as I have been able to. So even if says Android auto, currently you cannot use Android auto

Its a ****fight in the first gen L494's. The onboard maps no longer work so if you want maps on the screen a phone/tablet is required to be actually plugged in. But if you want also want to play music off a usb stick the system just sits on its hands. Maps music and phone calls. LR must think these are the antichrist..

thanks folks. I got a response from the specialist but it does not really help as he is 1000km away. it seems all model prior to about 2018 are difficult to some greater or lesser extent, and atfer that its still far from 100% with numerous faults and difficulties reported. it seems the poms still cant get their act together for anything electronic!!
