Hi Pat, if I may Interject,
I know what you are getting at, the Rangie, back in the day, was a Marvel to behold. It was displayed at Galleries etc as the master piece that it was, and still is. (I Luuuurve my 89)
However, nowadays it's not at all the same thing.
There is nothing groundbreaking about this car at all. The only difference is it has more sophisticated software than the others. It has a few more bits of Electrickery. Mechanically, it's not a hell of a lot different to anything else on the road. Mechanically, there is only so much car makers can do to a Vehicle.
It's all now down to what gadgets and gimmicky 'stuff' it has.
One simple example...........Do you (or anyone) really need, I mean REALLY need, a 10plus speaker system????

Why do we need 9 'gears'...........
So they are ahead of the rest....

I wonder when they will go to a 5yr warranty, seems longer warranties are the trend.

i would rather have a longer warranty than some of this unneeded electikery stuff that isn't really.

The replacement for the D4 will for sure just be a bigger one of these, with different engines, etc.

new disco sport looks *yawn zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Best looking disco was the D2 IMO

D3 came out looking like a transit van, D4 didn't improve on those looks much.

Perhaps the D5 will just be a people carrier a la renault espace ->
