That's a fairly typical response regarding future product. The leaked photo seems to match the Invictus and Tusk photos and the latest spy shots. Remember when the interior picture leaked and they said it was an earlier prototype or words to that effect? Funny how that photo seems to match the latest interior spy shots. Unless they've seen the overwhelmingly negative response on the Internets and they're doing a last-minute rehash of the front wings, bonnet, grille and bumper bar, I'd be fairly confident that's what we're getting.
I doubt I'd contemplate the purchase of one without the option of a manual transmission anyway, but this thing is going to be as disappointing as the new Toyota Supra.
That dealer briefing presentation is very disappointing. I had been holding out for a "workmate" style model and a dual cab or ute, but it looks like it is SUV/RV models only. That won't be enough to get me out of my D4 thanks. Looks like I'm keeping it until at least the MY22 130 models are revealed..... [emoji853][emoji853]
And in Australia the first 100 Supras available sold out in 10 minutes, and the next 50 in 22 minutes.
I hadn't read much on the new Supra - a mate was thinking of getting one, but I just googled it then and there were lots of comments like "it's not a real Supra" .... hasn't matched the legend of the Mk 4 ...
And then there's this:
"This version is sure to be a very nice car, but without having driven it, I've already formed an opinion that it's not a real Supra"
Does that sound at all familiar?
And then half of Australia's entire allocation sold out in 32 minutes ....
I agree i think those models will come after they build up the coffers, that was the rumour from the start, 90 & 110 then other models later. Having said that I think there will be some pretty bare bones utilitarian options from day 1.
For me its going to about trying to get decent power, just enough comfort for a big lap, whilst still having specs to handle Cape york, the outback, Vic high country, weekend tough tracks and all the islands etc reliably.
Had another little play, no white writing on sidewall this time added Factory Snorkel and Front bar. SWB GB? On that note will the swb have the large C Pillar design, if so will it obstruct vision from rear seatshttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e3b5b8f527.jpg
Landrover should call this new defender the D5 Mk2 or the LR200 series[bigwhistle]
After all it is shaping up to be just another luxury SUV.
