Significant investment doesn’t always deliver a great result. I’m sure JLR will get over it, as there will a heap of other people with the same opinion.

What JLR is really interested in is the people with an opposite opinion who are willing to shell out $80k plus for one.
Agreed, polite is the key Won’t be retro... and it doesn't mean everyone has to agree with that opinion and they usually reply as such, that's the whole premise of forums.

My polite point here in reply was just because "10,000" people work on a car over 5 years, it deserves no less respect than 1 man over 5 years, infact in comparison 10,000 times more Won’t be retro...

I have been involved in a custom LR from chassis up, it really takes years of your life and is an emotional rollercoaster to get right.

It hits home when I know what effort had gone onto something like this, so sure I'm guna stick up for em and again everyone can have their opinion and I'm sure you would agree we don't have to reply in the positive to someone's opinion.

Just like normal conversation offline, it will go back and forth and if both parties are humble enough both parties can come away with something learned.

80k? Wasnt it reportedly starting at 65-70k

Who knows could be less for more basic dual cab or tray models in future

I believe the tusk working vehicle test hasn't started

Tusk on Instagram: “So excited to work with @LandRover on plans for new Defender to complete field testing with us on location in Kenya. A Defender prototype…”

I’m still formulating my response to the latest
    Covers removed image

Having a play trying to photchop the wheelbase by 15% and making it cab-chassis
Even without a finished image I fear that even if they do release a Ute it will end
Up looking like a ranger/Navarra cab chassis all stupid looking

Cab chassis need a square cab profile to not look stupid

    But anyways - I digress

I just had a play on the JLR .com.au driveaway price calculator

A D5 SE (mid spec) with the bigger engine is $109k
    Driveaway

Rangie you are totally dreaming at getting a new110 for less than $90 and I reckon in Aus we will find most purchases will be closer to $120, kind of like how you see more VX and Sahara 200s than GXs

Anyways - the good thing is as far as I can tell without having a crawl around one my suspicions were pretty right, JLR have jumped the shark on this and marketed up a lion but releasing a Persian kitty
