Only reason I'm so interested is that the new rear bar I'm thinking of for my 101 was going to have jerry can holders on it - wondering if the ADR's are retrospective in this instance...

Edit - have emailed Vicroads to see if they know - not expecting much sense out of them though...
Looks under dangerous goods transport legislation for each state + vsb14 for fuel tank mods

    Good thread, bit old but

    Jerry Cans illegal

"In a nut shell - for less than 250 litres in appropriate containers it is up to the common sense of the drive how they are transported and secured. This includes being inside the car as in a station wagon."

Thanks - but again, no reference to this supposed ADR compliant holder everyone seems to be on about online unfortunately. Total volume will be under 250 litres - with my 160 litre main tank and 3 x 20 litre jerry cans, that's all good, but given I am going to quite a bit of trouble to keep my vehicle legal it would be good to know an answer to the ADR thingy as although I'm pretty comfortable sticking 2 jerrys on the rear bar, I only have a few mentions on various internet pages saying this is not ok unless in an ADR compliant holder - which I cannot find any reference to in the ARD's myself, but reading every line of every one is a task I'm not willing to undertake.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

I am just wondering what Blackrangie is going to do once the new Defender has been released and has been in the showrooms for a while and this thread will no longer be relevant.

Is he going to go into withdrawal and need to go into therapy or will he bounce back and find a new project to fill that hole in his life that was once the "Won't be retro" thread.

    Here we go again.

Nice your thinking about others and their future, very caring Gaza Won’t be retro...

I'm guessing that is your way of saying thank you for posting up latest news and spottings? If not and your just being disrespectful, a troll or trying to be "funny" at others expense, please unsubscribeWon’t be retro...

Your welcome to post up news anytime to share the load.

Judging by the number of posts you have, you pretty much live on here so shouldn't be a problem Won’t be retro...

I frequent here when something excites me to learn and share. I have a life outside of the forum, so don't worry ill be gone again soon, then you brighten someone else's day up.

Your obsession with me is humbling though Won’t be retro... It does baffle me what you were trying to achieve with this post, it certainly wouldnt encourage most people to use this forum.

New York spotting and another UK

First expedition rack seen on SWB from memory

I'm guessing height would allow fold back ragtop roof.

Looks like LR will be going all out on the accessory front
