Yeah exactly, but I was referring to the black lump that is attached to. Maybe it's their version of a bumper.

    Wink

No, the new one is very different - it has a panel on the c pillar .... it’s a total rework.

Does raise the question though why they bothered with the camouflage.

I’ve had my D4 pulling twice the speed on a track that the D2 and Defender became hazardous at.

The D4 has outclimbed several other vehicles and has yet to be tamed by any track the highly modified D2 has been on. The only caveat - I won’t wilfully damage panels.
Different experience to mine and that's all we can go on. However I have said in this thread before how impressive the D3 and 4 traction control is. So I'm.a big fan of the ability of the new vehicles but i have found places particularly at Cape York where the D2 did that tiny bit better on several occasions allowing the obstacle to be overcome.

Subtle differences add up. The red thing in the latest rendering looks good to my eye at least. I don't like the earlier DC100 red thing (shown in this more frontal shot). Beauty is in the eye though.

I can actually come at that side on red render- apart from the c-pillar blob. Makes no sense to my eye.

But anyway - like the rest of my thoughts (total speculation) but there is no practical way they could turn that wheelbase cab-size into a dualcab . The rear door edge and rear seat backs finish at the rear axle. The back of the cab would have to be BEHiND the rear axle.

I can see a “130” model with longer rear overhang, same wheel base, more space or more seating.

    But can see a Ute

To be honest, i imagine that the 130 specs on that wheelbase will likely be a better seller in Australia. That 110 will have pretty scant load space, a longer overhang might limit over road step down capability but the extra seating and space is often chosen by Aussies (Y62 / 200 series for example).

    Just thinking
    An 8 seat 130 wagon
(As long as access to rear seats isn’t too challenging )
Will become the Offroad Kia Carnival !!!

    Just twice the price ;(

Actually looks pretty sweet, few unrealistic things like the coils being shown so much.

But that's definitely the closest render ive seen by anyone yet based on what we know. I like it!

Wish they added the sliders and tube bar thoughWon’t be retro...

That shows the panel behind the C pillar a lot better - still can't work out if it does anything apart from look ugly - maybe a hatch to the back or something? Also, I think the suspension lift shown there is a little optimistic.
