If LR has a future it has to appeal to and sell bucket loads of vehicles to North America. I don't like 'Americanized' (see what I did there) vehicles but LR seem to have retained its British style in the main.
Cheers
The more I see these images the more I hate what the brand has become. Especially the US wrap .

I agree.
They will apply all sorts of spin aimed at specific markets. I don't need to agree with the North American spin as it is not aimed at me. They will introduce flavours over there that will not appeal or not be available here. I await to see what market they aim at in OZ, how they sell it & what is available here. I would suspect that it will be different to the US.
Diesels aren't popular in the US and no D3/4 were sold with them so i'd imagine that will continue.

It has to be a huge success in the three biggest markets - the USA, China and the EU. The rest, including us, is just icing on the cake.
Jaguar Land Rover and BMW to extend alliance plans | Autocar
Very interesting as are the comments, having said that, there are no JLR quotes so might just be another leak at this stage?
JLR dont need BMW 4cyl Petrol/Diesel and 6cyl petrol they have just designed their own.
Without checking if bmw do a diesel 6 hybrid, it could be about that, along with the BMW V8 Petrol & Diesel.
Imagine if they had used the current shape of the Defender for the new model as a starting point. Then adapt it to the technology they want to use. That is what I would have done.
