Ok so the question remains can you fit 18s on the straight 6, in the same way you can fit 18s to the D5, if so that would give you the ability for both 32s and increase if wanted, I believe there are many options for bigger 18s.

If you were to stay with the 19s, what good off-road tyre options are there? and ability to increase?

The photo shown at launch shows 20 inch with the Goodyear Dura tracks, imo they look fantastic, but is there any other option for a tyre size increase if you went the 20 inch option, not that it looks like it needs it, or would you be happy with the 32 inch duratracs?

I reckon you'd forget about the 19's as the selection is more limited. I think the largest tyre on a 19" rim is 31".... Tiresize.com did not find any at 32", 33" or 34".

With 20's you have a far broader choice and there are larger sizes to get back some sidewall. With 34" (assuming it fits) you'd have 7" of sidewall. You could have something like KO2's at 32,33 or 34 inches.

Fitting an Australian-legal 18" wheel to the D5 has been tricky. It has depended on model year because LR has changed the brake package multiple times in the 2 years it's been around. And funnily enough the rear brakes have been hit and miss, in contrast to the D4 where only the front brakes had large calliper issues.

Hopefully things will settle down with the Defender brakes for 6cyl engines and the 18" options (Compomotive & Tuffant) will fit but that remains to be seen going by the D5 experience. And how much increase to overall diameter that fits without rubbing also remains to be seen. You would certainly hope 33" is straightforward and that would be plenty in my opinion.

It's true that there's some good 20" tyre options but I'd still prefer the sidewall afforded by 18".
I don't believe there's any suitable 19" tyre, except in the D4 size of 255/55/R19 which is too small for the new Defender.
The Goodyear Duratrac looks ok but is not an LT spec, which is all I would consider running if going remote.

Great video the rear of the 110 looks to have a lot of space and very utilitarian.

The km3 mud terrain is looking good available in lots of sizes both in 18 and 20.

Going by specs,load areas are smaller than D4.

Engine bay is interesting. I read elsewhere that the battery is now under the (RH) drivers seat, and that all the electrical systems are rated to IP68 meaning they can handle quite a soaking without any trouble. And with the air compressor option at the rear door, there's not a lot of need for under-bonnet mods.

Also I loved the way the seats fold down flat.
