At 4:35 in that video the guy lifts the rear floor in the 110 to show some additional empty space that would be very useful. I suspect it's where the battery pack will go in the PHEV model, but for the rest it's the obvious place to look at storing spares, recovery gear, tools, or alternatively a 2nd battery etc.

285/60/18, which is a really common size tyre, would certainly fit unless the rim was at its limit with a 275 tyre.

Follow up – I saw a pic today showing the drivetrain diagram for the P400, and that space is occupied by the MEV batteries. So all you folks keen on the 6 cylinder won’t be able to use that space.

I have a 2015 D4, which I just luv - easily the most comfortable, fast touring, big boat towing vehicle I have ever owned! I've racked up 140k in 4.5 years with about half of those towing a 6.5M boat.

I don't like the look of the D5, which IMO looks like someone kicked up the bum! I have other dislikes of it as well.

I think there may be a new Defender in my future - spec'd out to be as much like my D4 as possible, but I will wait for the next model so they can iron the bugs out!
