I want to get back to the hilift bling
Of hundreds of recoveries I have used or been involved in a hilift a handful of times
Other than helping a fella with a MOG change a tyre and one other tyre change on a 79 that started with hilift (in rear Steve bar hilift proper point) but was too unstable so we got out a bottle jack???
It’s not a great tyre changing tool - too bloody dangerous!!!
Have used hilift for both lifting our of bogs and packing with logs and also as a come along....
But they just can’t be used on most vehicles - that front a-frame will get monstered lofting 2.4T
It will either bend back the a-frame into bonnet
I just can’t see it happening
And those puddly little orange points
You might get the hilift to start under those but once half way up the mast as it starts to bend the vehicle will slip off
There is NO safe or even minimally dangerous way to lift that vehicle with a hilift
It is bling
Oh and that is a pretty stock prado with the “overlanding defender”
Does that mean a new modded defender is equal to factory prado??
