Could it be RRP vs On Road pricing?

Yeah..those prices don't align with our local seller when I went there. They seem almost reasonable given the std of features etc..eg when compared to the new Hilux SR5 at near 70k.
A Paj bought recently went from 48k to 52500 with delivery and State taxes/rego.
That pricing would exclude all on road and dealer costs.
I note that the base model MY21 90 starts at a higher cost than the outgoing base model MY20 110. So across the board prices start higher for the 110. But I also understand standard features have improved as well.
But it is the mid/top range engine spec and mid range body spec where the step increases are much less that gets interesting. The current pricing strategy sort of pushes the up sell for most to the SE level as you consider what extras you get for the money.
The final big jump for the X spec is for those who don’t really worry about the price.
The law was changed a couple of years back - the displayed price is the onroad price unless indicated otherwise (like GST price). So if the price is just that it is the on road price - if not it needs to say something like excludes statutory charges or excludes onroad costs.
So if those prices were published by JRA or their dealers then they are onroad costs.
Any news on a five year warranty?
I wouldn’t go near one unless it had that length warranty at least.
I notice run out models of D5 have 5 yrs,for a limited time, but I think the extra two is probably through a third party.
I think you are right, it looks to me like the difference between the 90SE & 110SE compared with the 90 First Edition pricing suggest that a MY21 110FE would be priced at $7k more before on roads (LCT etc) than the MY20 (if it was available). This probably puts the 250 6cyl at around a $10k premium to the 240 4cyl for my spec of vehicle. If that's the case I am not as upset by the change.
