    Remapping the new Deefer

I watched a youtube video of a company called Avon tuning that has started doing remaps on the Defender, short and sweet and little info but BHP and NM up.

And not an EGT or AFR to be seen.

I’d be wary of any mapping released this quickly until it’s proven. Not a lot of road testing (and it’s like 11c on that dyno sheet) especially in hot conditions.

Is it weird that the stock motor has a faster acceleration time? Or is that just to do with the dyno?

Not too surprising given that this engine has been de-tuned in the defender and was previously making 500nm instead of the now 430nm.

Not sure I'd be playing with it while still under warranty however.

You know why it’s de-tuned in AU...

Our fuel quality. It’s so poor several manufacturers aren’t even sending some models over here.

I’ve heard this too - what is it about our fuel that makes it ‘bad’? Assuming not particulates, as they can be filtered, so a chemical imbalance somewhere?
