    Snow Chains

    What snow chains are people using?

    I know the set that fit my previous defender won't fit under the wheel arch.

    So went up the snow and hired a pair to comply with the rules.
    Didn't need them but tried them on in the carpark and it seems like they will clear the gaurds but look like they will snag the the vertical strut thing.
    Very surprised.

    I have the Konig T2 Magic. Size 266

    Fitted to the rear as per the manual. Not ideal, but seems to be the norm with newer cars.

    In Victoria all vehicles travelling to alpine areas in the snow season must carry chains and fit them were directed.

    I know nothing about new Defenders other than that they look awesome. But they're my k summit 66 chains for sale. Really great kit, only trouble is in Vic Alpine areas they spec not just to carry chains, but diamond pattern chains. Bit OTT IMO. LOL. But anyway diamonds fitted the back of the RRS where the struts weren't an issue, and the idea was to put the summits on the front for you know, steering... not that I ever needed to.

    Agree would rather fit to front to maintain steerage.
    The corners on Jacobs r a bit tight, but Wombat the 90 prances around like a three year old.
