			Defender 90

Have been thinking a while about a replacement for the 3L diesel D4, with a new or 2nd hand under 10k kms but in the 90 configuration. Just not sure about a few things like coil or air suspension? Diesel or petrol powerplant? Have been driving diesel LR's for a long time but open to petrol model. 4 or 6 cylinder? (Not sure the 90 comes in 6cyl)

Going to do a test drive for a 90 soon, but do the sales people come with you these days or just hand over the keys?

 Any real experiences welcomed. thx

They sure do come in 6cyl in the 90. The P400 S, SE or HSE would be thr pick.

All straight 6s in new ingenium engine line. Get away from v6 diesel with adblue, restricted to the max with EGR and DPF.

Dealer will come with you. I reckon the P series motors are definitely worth a closer look.

I went for the P400SE in 110 because it has similar load space to my old D4.

I have a 110 with the 3l straight 6 diesel. It has lots of grunt and is fuel-efficient.

The engine choice I made on the basis that it does long trips predominantly with few city runs. So the potential DPF and AdBlue issues don't arise. For instance, I've done 12,000 Km and still have another 10,000 km of AdBlue in the tank.

If mine was a run-about-town vehicle then I'd probably have gone petrol power.
