    Dynamic X recovery loops

    Fitted up a pair of genuine Dynamic X rear recovery loops yesterday. Easy enough, rear bumper off, 8 bolts off, loops on and torque same bolts to 170Nm in 3 stages. Bumper back on.

    They came with nice slim line gloss black trim surrounds. Each one is rated to 6.5t WLL apparently.20240129_210611.jpg

    Looks nice. I was considering fitting them after purchase but didn't know how involved it would be to get the bumper off, so I relented and ordered them factory fitted. Oh well.

    Easy enough to get the bumper off, need to be careful with the electrical connectors. I had a minor issue with the cameras being unavailable a few days after I put it all back together, but I did have a brake controller and Anderson plugs installed by JLR around the same time. Turns out the rear cameras needed recalibration after the bumper is removed. JLR sorted it for me when they did the belt integrated starter generator (bsig) recall.
