Thread: Who assembled the Landys in OZ

A couple of minor corrections/additions.

The first Landrover production was in 1948, although it needs to be kept in mind that this was the 1948 model year, which began after the summer holidays (i.e. end September, but it varied a bit., and in fact very few were actually delivered by the end of calendar 1948, although 3,000 1948 models were built.

The Rangrover was in development in 1967 when the merger with Leyland took place - in fact the need for capital to commence production is probably what made the merger necessary for Rover.

Anyone know a good mechanic for a 4.4 ltr leyland in the Sydney east or surroundings
I bought an old 57 healey race car that raced in the 1994 cannon ball run that runs a 4.4 ltr. Very cool car.
