Average price around Melbourne i can get is 80 cpl.
Best price i have found near home is 78.9 cpl. Moreland Road Brunswick
BP on Patterson Road Bentleigh wins the price for over pricing at the weekend included today they were advertising LPG for 87.9 cpl.
We've been paying $1.20 a litre for years, currently spiked to over 1.50 per litre.
Needless to say, not many here use it. It's just BBQ's and forklifts.
Sydney prices for LPG are in the mid 80s, cents per litre, during the last week. Before that it was mid 70s. I can't find an explanation for this.
You could try Google, you know...

LPG Pricing
What are the main factors that determine the price we pay for LPG?
In January 1991, the Federal Government deregulated the wholesale price of LPG. As part of this process, Australian LPG prices move to reflect the fact that LPG is an internationally traded commodity, and thus influenced by international prices and factors such as the value of the Australian dollar. Therefore, Australian producers trade LPG at international prices (in US dollars).
The current international price used in the market is called the Saudi Aramco Contract Price (Saudi CP) and is expressed in US dollars per metric tonne. The Saudi CP is set on the propane and butane commodity prices, and published on the first business day of the month and remains fixed for the remainder of that month.
Thourghly depressing reading.
At the moment local fuel prices work out thus:
LPG: 76ppl (1.15 aus)
Petrol: 1.429 ppl (2.16 aus)
Diesel: 1.469 ppl (2.22 aus)
Theres a guy a few miles away with diesel up at £1.529 ppl (2.31 aus) which is even more depressing.
Many in the media are still saying 'but it's cheaper than in the UK', but we drive a lot further per year that people in the UK too. A 700km day trip isn't really that big of a deal here.
Unfortunately it's not the retailers, and the profit margin I can tell you is under 2cpl!
I wouldn't call a Rover v8 on LPG a fuel guzzler. 15l per 100km is quite respectable for any lpg vehicle. There are plenty of Tojos and Nissans getting that from a diesel!
As we import LPG, our prices of butane and propane are matched to the Saude oil prices which in the Feb / March month rose by 1.8% due to the conflict in the Persian Gulf and Japan wanting more. But somehow transpired into a 30-40% jump in board prices. Wholesalers, and importers!!! Toothless Government and ACCC!!!
We also export 3 times as much lpg as we import, so why the h%ll are we importing the stuff. If we were't importing it, it wouldn't be benchmarket to a meaningless price, and the beaurocrats could monitor the prices properly.
Sadly I'm begining to think Aust. isn't the luckiest country in the world.
I wish I got 100ks from 15 lt of LPG I have the scuba tanks in mine (60lt) about 50lt useable and I get 200ks max
time to buy a donkey no tax or exise on grass:)
The problem is the govt. will do nothing as its a revenue source with a thousand year life span. Thats right Oz with its current extraction rates and exports has 1000 years of lpg left in KNOWN reserves along with about 250 years worth of coal that is economical to mine.(but as price goes up harder to get/extract coal seams become viable);)
Being major exporter of LPG we SHOULD be like every other oil nation, and have the stuff at cost + a set percentage not set via a world market. This would mean less tax for the govt. and cleaner air for all as why would you run a car on petrol for $1.45-55 when gas should cost 50c or less?
