Best here is 74.9,most places have been around 77.9.

Seems in Qld, we are always the last to go down,but first to go up.

The higher prices seem to often be at Caltex.

gas is still 81.9c/L in central victoria. making it more expensive to run on gas here, than petrol.

ie say a v8 rangie/disco/whatever, roughly 20L/100km = $19.18/100km (petrol is 1.459/l)
on gas, roughly 25l/100km = $20.45/100km

how can they justify gas being 10-15c/L + higher in central vic than melbourne?

I have an injected system on my classic.. Power is very sluggish compared to running on petrol. I found a guy who can diagnose the problem which I hope will be just tuning. I will rip the system out if its more than 500 bucks to fix. Can't see the point spending more than that to save a few dollars on fuel.

Once my current tankfull is gone, I'm pulling the system out to reclaim some wasted space.

Gas prices are only going to get worse IMHO.

When I work out those sums I get Petrol coming in at $29.18/100km (20*1.459) so you are still saving about $9/100km. Without really looking gas is under 70c/L in Adelaide now, but I have seen it under 60c/L in a few places (Main North Rd near Mawson Lakes, Torrens Rd Near Kilkenny)

Price has dropped here its down to $1.07 per litre

For the sake of $9 per 100ks Id rather drive on petrol

Indeed. And if you drove 20,000km P.A. that would be $1800 annual saving, who would want that?

It's back under half petrol price where it always ends up, what more do you want?
