    LPG....Air filter

    Hi All
Years ago i put the Tardis on gas (kids called it that, its Blue and Square..94 D1) But i have never been happy with how the gas mob butchered the air cleaner to make it fit,Its been turned 90deg with the ass cut out.Is there an alternative? Years ago my brothers old 55 series 1 had a 2a motor in it and he had a HD Holden air cleaner sitting on the stromberg. has any one got ideas? Simon.

I suggest you get a steel cylinder air filter assembly off a slightly earlier model D1 or RRC V8, approx. 1990 to 1993 and install that using its original paper element type. They're quite robust and fit the same air flow meter. The 1986-1989 RRC EFI filter assembly is very similar but needs a short piece of hose to attach to the AFM.
