Just a quick thank you to all those members who helped out on our club display.
I don't think I missed anyone, except myself. Let me know if I did and I'll make the necessary corrections.

- Faye & Gary - who turned up on Friday, despite the shocking weather and eventual closing of the show at about 10:30am.
- and Michael - who assisted with some last minute setting up and also did his bit for the Association.
Despite the closure on Friday, there were apparantly more 'punters' than last year. Saturday saw the public car parks overflow and cars parked for quite a distance along Ferrers Rd - most people staying for quite a while. Sunday saw larger numbers than Saturday but they didn't stay as long.
We had an excellent location on a nice patch of grass and as our display was quite different to all others, this alone turned heads and created a significient amount of interest. It was nice to relax and talk about the Land Rover Lifestyle to other enthusiasts, both members and prospective members.
There were minor things that those present thought could be incorporated and these will, if possible, be included for future shows/displays.
Thanks again to those were turned up and helped to make it a success.
Roger
I enjoyed it. It was a good day, good pitch location, good people and a relaxed atmosphere, just like a club event should be.
It was good to chat to other like minded members plus several potential members who seemed to take a genuine interest in the club.
It was a shame a few previously confirmed helper-outers were unable to attend, I guess they had something else crop up last minute.

I came down from the Central Coast early on Friday morning. The closer I got to Eastern Creek the worse the weather became.
As I got to the entrance of the car park, about 10:00am, they were telling everyone arriving that the show had been cancelled for the day. What a bummer!
Couldn't get there across the week-end, so next year maybe.
