Not sure I was able to help on the day.
Diligently went around all the sites, named car clubs and local car clubs and it's amazing the number of cars that end up in the wrong brand club.
I think people must have thought I was mad - had my print out in hand asking if people had seen a couple of particular cars.
Didn't find any 1960s Austin Cambridges and only a single 1958 model. Although I was reliably informed that the Austin Freeway (third pic) is very similar to the 1960s Cambridge.
I have also been informed that Standard Car Company became the Triumph Car Company when the Yanks wanted to know who made the Standard and if there was a deluxe model as well.
Unfortunately I don't think I had enough information. There was this great looking sports model Triumph, has P1 and 2500 on it's badges but others suggest the car I was looking for was actually a sedan.
Nice triple dual throat side draft carbs - would probably go like the cla.....
But couldn't see the front view as the bonnet was up.

Anyway a great day, except the sausage sizzle line was a bit too long to hazzard, but I did notice that the Jaguar club had their own BBQ. Perhaps we could do the same next year.

So no landrovers then ????????![]()
Are these Land Rovers or Fire Engines?
I'm pretty sure this was a Land Rover!
(With others in the background!)
And this one reminds me of a 110 but a lot shorter!
(with much longer one in the background!)
And this looks like a Defender headlight!
But then the memory was full - Damn![]()

Nice shots, well done looks like you had a good day.
Had a very nice day thanks Mick as did others I believe but was one of the first few LROCS mob to arrive at just after 7am and the second last to leave Bob S followed me out.
I think that Bob has to be thanked for all his efforts in the weeks leading up to the event, on Saturday and on the day itself. First in and last out. Well done Bob!
Others will have to put their comments, but there was a quite a bit of un-used space available and a couple of extra sports fields so we could have a much bigger presence next year. (48 Land Rovers I think this year)
Had a bit of an oggle at Ralph's coil sprung P38a, quite a good way of solving the air system failures I think.
Sally and Jane had the billy on frequently and we all sat around chatting between viewing the hundreds of other cars.
Slept very well Sunday night.

I think you'll find that's a TR5 Mat.
Diana thanks for the photos and yes the light blue Triumph sedan is the one i was after, albeit a Triumph 2000 but the same model as my 2.5PI.
The 2500 motor was put in the TR5/6 as well, the TR5/6 has the 2.5PI, (2500 with mechanical fuel injection)
Thank again, Baz.
EDIT; the motor in the TR5 pictured has the mechanical Fuel injection, not down draft carbs.
Cheers Baz.
