Do you mean a more conventional trailer socket?

If you just want a standard 7 pin flat or round trailer socket, you can wire one into the existing loom, behind the NATO socket. You can secure it behind the crossmember when not in use.

You could make an adaptor cable, however the NATO plugs, if you can get one, are very bulky.

If you need an Anderson power plug, for passing a decent current, I would not take it from the trailer socket.

thanks Dave I might have a go at making an adapter even if its a bit bulky.Do you happen to know where I would get a male nato plug?

Hella Australia sell the full range of NATO light and plugs but it comes at great cost.

My Perentie already has a standard round trailer socket on it I think they were standard fitment to the 6x6's.
I assumed they were on the 4x4's as well but I could be wrong on that.

My 6x6's do too... But that probably doesn't help you. Sorry

Maybe you can steal a harness off a 6x6 or manufacture a new harness/loom for your 4x4 based on the 6x6?

I'm curious, is there a reason you would prefer to make a adaptor rather then wire in a normal trailer plug into the loom and hide it somewhere?

I might pick up a military trailer in the future so am hedging my bets
my experience with hiding a loose plug is they always have a habit of getting caught on something. But having said that I might look at where I can mount one.
