Maybe next time.
I'll see if I can get the Bendigo one before too long.
The Seymour one and the RSL are no where near each other, there is a Rotary sign in front of it though.

That will be pretty much the same for most Tanks. That park is called Rotary Park. Next time have a look at the concert the tank rests on. Its 2 different shades. this is because many years ago a Mitilda Tank use to sit in that spot but was removed for public safety. Recently it was cleaned up and increased in size for the new tank. I read in the local paper that a safety fence and viewing stand will be erected to enable the public to get close but remain safe.

Somebody said that there is / will bge one coming down to tassie.
I went past the Canberra Services club the other day - no tank in sight. The 40/60 is still out the front but no tank - not sure there is actually the room.

The Epping RSL that gets a tank is the Victorian Epping RSL, they have already received it and are going to call me back with the ARN if the lady at the front desk can find it.
The ARN is located on the front right glasis plate.

Unfortunately the ones being painted in Darwin will not be getting their ARN painted on as it "not in our contract".

There are 4 tanks coming from Darwin, 27744 is in Palmerston, awaiting photos. The other 3 are off to WA.
If the ARN is not on the front right, then it can be found on the rear under the spare track links. If there is no ARN clearly painted on the Tank then the only other places to find it is inside. In the drivers seat on the right side is a MOD plate, where one will be. The other is in the turret on the loaders side above 3 red switches.
Sadly the delivery SOP is the tank will arrive with gun at 6. It will be craned directly into position and the gun will be hand cranked to the 12 position. Where it will be locked, the elevation is locked by an internal gun crutch. After that the hatches will be welded shut.
The last place is the hull number. located under and to the right the front right bollard/ towing eye just above the welding in the hull. However its under alot of paint and will derogate the tank.

I've heard a rumour that our in Esperance is coming ex Darwin.
I've been involved in organizing the concrete pad, so when it arrives I'll get some good close up pics
Epping RSL Victoria's Leopard is 27 762 and it does have it painted on the hull. It also has '44' painted on the glacis plate.
Thanks to the kind front-desk lady :)
