Yes, I LOVE them. Can't afford one and haven't found one as good as my GSX1400 (which financially makes sense at any rate) but I do love them and have ridden a few over the years.

The new Cali 1400 range is brilliant but well beyond my price range....

    I think Moto-Guzzi are a much under-rated bike.

Find a good dealer and you'll be set.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

My F6 is currently up for sale. When I sell this I am upgrading to a D4. (Work Lease). Once I have taken all the good bits off my D3 and put them on the D4, whatever I sell this for will go towards the new purchase. I had my heart set on a Triumph Thunderbird but now I am not so keen as they are made in Thailand. A new Moto-Guzzi Eldorado is $24000 rideaway. Very good value compared with a Harley.

Currently have my M109R in the shop having the previous Exhaust modified and improved upon...

Factory they are Duals with Crossover.
Went to a 5" Cannon style for performance and weight.. (And the Bass - its all about the bass)...
Currently running some custom shorts which idle at 98db and shatter ear drums on decel...

Having the Cannon redone, Black Ceramic coated and will refit soon... Hopefully there will be a cool day to ride the 400km home

For the moment. Will probably let the wife learn to ride on it before selling it.

BTW, the Ali-Brite worked a treat!! Big thanks for that, my wheels look like new again

Can't wait to pick it up on Tuesday!

Yeah. 10k of dirt between my house and the nearest bit of tar is a bit of a sore point with the GT650R..... a dirt bike it aint! The Versys looks a tad more user friendly for the dirt.

My latest machine, the Ducati in the foreground. The Buell at the back is the machine she replaces... 100,000 kms of pretty reliable service, but too long in the tooth for the daily commute.

My wife's XV250 in the middle that has been pressed into commuter service for the past few weeks while waiting for the new bike.

The Buell has a gearbox output shaft bearing on it's way out. Normally a split-the-cases job, but I'm going to try and do a sneaky...

    Thumbs up Guzzis

Hi Vlad, Guzzis are around second hand for reasonable prices, if you can sit and wait for one. Brisbane has reasonable support for them , but once you get to know them they are mostly serviceable at home.

81.000 km is just run in for $7000, that's a lot of bike for your money.

My old black relic has about 160,000 kms and still runs perfectly. The clutch has been replaced and the exhaust valves, and cam chain, piston rings. I'll probably try to get it on club rego next year, I'd like to Keep it fully registered but it costs as much as a car to register. I have the 750 registered and I want to register one of the vespas as well, so the rego costs stack up unfortunately.
    cheers simmo

Not selling the Buell are you mate?

My GSX1400 is only about $9K from that magic 100,000 km mark... needs new brakes and tyres etc but she's only just run in !

Sadly, yes. Realistically, you could keep her going very easily for a couple more times around the clock... except for the fact that HD have basically forgotten that they ever made Buells.

Parts for them are starting to get very expensive. Local dealer (Morgan & Wacker) are rarely even stocking most parts, including consumables/minor accident spares - such as levers and drive belts (!). HD Australia have wound down how many spares they even have in the country, so you end up having to wait for a shipment from the US.

Too difficult to keep going for a daily commuter.

Having said all that, the 848 is a tremendous bike... a couple of weeks in for me now, and I'm impressed more than I would have believed.

The 848 is also a far superior pillion machine than the Buell, by emphatic account!
