"Offy" by Ken Walton now available
Pitstop bookshop are now stocking the 512 page book, "Offy, America's Greatest Racing Engine" by Kenneth E. Walton. This is an academic quality work detailing the history, design, development, differences, assembly, engineering drawings, personnel etc. from Harry Miller to Stewart van Dyne.
Possibly the closest available publication to a workshop manual ever offered for these engines. The makers only ever made available a torque values list, and parts and services pamphlets.
I have visited Ken and seen his work. He is a top quality machinist and his work is immaculate. He is currently restoring two late turbo engines, a 36 degree and a 19 degree. The 19 is going into a street rod he is also building. The 36 is a museum quality display engine, aand eye-popping. He has a collection of components and is proud to show them off to demonstrate the ongoing development that took place over 40+ years.

Serg, I can't help with a book. Phil Reilly's shop looks after most of them used in historic GP racing in the USA.
Phil Reilly Company, 5842 Paradise Dve, Corte Madera, California. 0011 1 415 924 9022. Not far over the bridge from San Francisco. Golden Gate Transit no.70 bus from SF.
Have a look at Phil Reilly & Company, Vintage Car Repair
Phil is not big on answering e-mails. Probably best to 'phone him. But try p_reilly@pacbell.net or phil@philreillycompany.com
I like Racor filter-separators because they work. They have a centrifugal separator section like Donaldson air cleaners.
