Subaru Impreza headlight blowing
Gday all,
My wife drives an 07 Subaru Impreza hatch (last of the old shape). I wouldn't trust her in a land rover
We've owned it for nearly 2 years and ever since it has a habit of blowing the drivers side lo-beam globe. About every 3 months. Just bought a couple of globes from repco and the guy that served me reckons that he hears of it being quite a common ocurence in the later model subarus. I always use a clean cloth so u don't touch the globe and nothing is loose or wet when I check it. Any suggestions or fixes that you know of would be greatly appreciated
Thanks -Adam

You could fit a length of wire into the low beam circuit to act as a resistor, (or buy a 5 watt 0.1 ohm resistor) to drop its input voltage by 0.5 volts or so should extend its life a fair bit.
