    Rover 75

    Hi,

    I'm looking at buying a 2004 MG Rover 75. 110,000 km, auto V6.

Anyone here give me any idea of performance, reliability, any good reasons not to buy it.

The guy will sell it for $6500.

    I wouldn't touch one.

Built quality is likely to be poor. Parts availability and finding someone willing to work on it non existent. And if it is the V6 engine I am thinking of they are a ticking time bomb of poor design.

Yeah.... No! Rovers are one of those Iconic British cars right up there with Leylands, Austins, BMC's etc.. (A bit like Land Rovers really).. You buy one because you specifically like them, not because its going to be cheep and reliable. As BigJon rightly said.... Who supplies parts, where are you going to get it fixed (it will need fixing), and out of curiosity.... why'd ya want one? Cheers.
