That is true. Thieves will often smash what they can't steal sadly. There is little point these days with locking anything. Just ask the cops, the junkies just carry a 4" cordless angle grinder with a 1mm wheel in it ............ they work in pairs. The other person holds a blanket/cloth of some sort and smothers the sparks. Apparently its nowhere near as loud as you imagine. They'll cut through expensive hardened lock nuts and padlocks like a knife through hot butter.
I just keep my ****box looking as un-appealing as possible. Hopefully there is nothing there anyone wants to steal!
