You're right, they could steal the car!

We used to use ones like this at work. You can't get vice grips to lock onto them.

What was found quite often is that when they fail to remove the lights they often take to the vehicle itself either to steal or damage.

Better to let them go.

If they’re mildly difficult to access you’re already part way to preventing some theft.

Most wont want IPFs anyway, good lights but considered too “old school”.

Punters are probably more likely to knock of a cheap set of 9” LED’s, cause the look cool and they will fit in with the majority.

I haven’t bothered with my FYRLYT’s, and they look a million dollars with the new lens just fitted.

If I was that worried about lights getting stolen id tack weld the nut. Face it your probably never gonna take them off anyway.
No matter what you do theres always a way for them to be stolen, 30 secs with a cordless grinder and take the whole tube off the bullbar.

A Hello 1507 searchlight was stolen off the bullbar of my County right outside our bedroom. I now drill and use rollpins. Damn difficult if I have to remove them even knowing what is used and where.

Yes, battery angle grinders with those 1.00 mm discs are a thief's good friend.
