That's true, I love the sound from the ford over the Holden.

If anybody either has or knows where I can get an adapter to mate the series transfer to c4 I'd love to hear from you :-)

I'm definitely with you there for sound, I'm interested in seeing what a adapter looks like and what one would cost, how hard would it be to make one?

Not too many companies making adaptor kits now.
    Dellow Automotive list a conversion for Holden 6, Ford 6 and Toyota B (2B or 3B )
    http://dellowconversions.com.au/imag...Automotive.pdf

Marks list some V8 kits but for County onwards.
Engine conversion kits to suit Land Rover

I have a Ford with the LR series box adapter here if anyone wants it.
It was a good runner before the car was rolled

I think you already offered before but me being in WA the freight would be a killer, thank you anyway. I think my preferred setup would be a 250 X-Flow backed by a toploader and the mighty series transfer case cause it's better than the ford alternatives. I've considered the V8 option and I'd love it but the fuel would be horrible running two V8 Land Rovers and the 6cyl is good enough on fuel but it's still got a decent amount of grunt. I'm going to see if I can find a cheapish motor or even a free one cause I was going down the Holden path and I managed to get a free 202 but it was too far gone so I thought that if I was going to change engines I better make it a good one I know a few people with fords everywhere so I might get a cheap motor from them cause they want a few cars gone.

Hi, when you say series box, do you mean series gearbox or transfer case?
I'm looking to replace my series gearbox altogether.

I had finally decided that I'd go down the Ford path instead of Holden then I look in one of the trading post papers (the quokka all people from WA know what I'm on about) and what do I find, a set of 6 .080 thou oversize pistons for a Holden red motor so if I can get the 202 running I'll probably go with that. I can't make up my mind I want to go ford then I find Holden parts I need then that falls through and I want ford again and then it changes again!

Found my solution, just bought a Series 3 with a 250 pre cross-flow in it with a celica box. Makes life easier than finding an adapter plate.
