Thread: Hurry up with that snorkel!

I have been up in cairns for a week, and there are that many water crossings up here!!! we need that snorkel!!!

although can i make a suggestion, that instead of running up the length of the front quarter panel, can that piece goes in behind the panel?

I have attached a photo of the rangie doing one of the easier water crossings...

Sorry Andy, all that planning, prototyping and hard work and now I'm with evryone else and looking at ordering one of Pauls blown snorkels!!! He does indeed spend too much time with his car...

Anyway, can you try and make the head one of those sexier close fitting wrap around the roof style ones not the traditional truck like pointy forward things. I reckon it would better suit the character of the car.

When can I order?

i must have a 'fully imported' model as my airbox pickup is on the other side

i understand the bucket and blower have dual roles to play
* 'the bucket' ..... to bail out water coming thru the heater vents when drowning
* 'the blower' ..... to rapidly dry out all the submersed electronics that Land Rover put under the seats in a 4 wheel drive

on a serious note, i think aesthetically the teardrop shape as it comes out of the guard would look better if it was a tapered squarer shape to mirror the shape at the back of the light/indicator cluster. then it's going to be different to all the criusers-hi luxs-patrols
stylistically i'd like to see the top similar to the rally cars Dakar etc. where they morph into the roofline either across the top of the screen or alternatively the top of the doorway.
other than that lookin good so far.

Tasi, YES and YES! I thought it looked a little like a re-hashed old 80 series cruiser one with the round bit at the front.

And Andy, I also reckon you shoudl emboss the Hard Range lettering along the horizontal section. It is your brand to put out there on your product.

I've been lucky enough to see this in person at Andy's and can say it's looking great!

Looking at the prototype in person, you can see that there's been considerable man hours to get it to this stage. Can't wait to see how this evolves
