I cant see why the receiver couldn't be modified to fit the front rails of your RR.

You might have to talk with an engineer (re the legality) before you take on the project if you want to keep it above board.

Haven't measured and spec'd as I was planning on doing it more or less 'in situ' when the jobs being done (less chance of near misses, reworks and delays). And hopefully I should only have to take the bars/bumpers off once!

Thinking about it, I reckon I may have actually seen the Warn one before, but it was (and is) only listed for US vehicles... I understand its top shelf stuff, but honestly, my budget doesn't run to Warn anything! Let alone buying Warn and cutting it up to modify! In saying that I think it did however prompt me to go and buy a couple of second hand rear hayman reese hitches that I can cut down and get appropriate style mounting plates welded to the ends for both vehicles... picked up a RRC one for $20 last night and am close to getting another for the 100 series.

Anyway, dropped in on a cousin last night who reminded me of a good mate who is more than capable of the job (X2)... and BONUS perhaps also making a mount and repairing the swivel point for the swing arm Willem recently gave to me! So now, I guess I just need to get the job moving.

But the WARN design would be very easy to copy with slight changes of course if your handy with a mig.

Am hopeless with french really (not what the girls used to say when I was young and on the loose!), but I can sort of glean a bit here and there when skimming through it.

From what I can gather, its a relatively no nonsense low cost solution providing skills are available with welding and of course the necessarry engineering (err copying) requirements are taken care of. I just want the flexibility of using it front rear and perhaps side of both vehicles. And it seems I may get there a fair way under half the cost of a standard Warn winch in ARB steel bar set up!

My sister spent a couple of years over there and will be gettting the interpreter job tomorrow some time!
