I didnt buy it! I can't afford to buy it back and "hope" that a new set of heads or a reco is all it'll need! I think that my money is better spent on getting one that hasn't seen water... Very sad, if it had been around a grand I would have used it as a spare parts car, but they started bidding at $2k and there were a heap of people bidding on it ($100 incriments)... So someone else was keen to get it!

It'll be less than a week and i'll be in my new one! So far there's 3 in melbourne that look like possible candidates, i'll fly down saturday and buy one of them and drive it home! One is a '99 and two are '00, so i'm getting back on the bosch boat!

    Cheers

It'd be a scream if "the someone" ends up in this section, asking the Q of .... "bought a cheap car, but has a few problems" ....

    Hope you get a good'n

Damn Keithy, I would have given you a ride around to look at those possible newby's in Melbourne... except the Mrs has gone OS and left me playing Mr Mum for our 3 little 'uns. Ah well, next time maybe!

Cheers for the thoughts! I've ended up with a Dark Blue '99 HSE! See the link below!

I changed my flight too, i'm now headed down on Monday! I managed to score a few weeks off work so i'm going to take the scenic route home (as one should when driving a P38 3500km home)!

I had a look at your link - that car looks real good. Hope you have a very enjoyable drive home in your new toy. Always a great feeling when you take possession of a new car - especially a P38.
