    Front air spring replacement.

Replaced the front air springs this morning. Took about an hour and a quarter for both.

Previous owner had replaced the front right air spring with one made by Firestone and branded Ford. It has a lighter construction than the Land-Rover one, with thinner, more flexible rubber. The LH side one was a standard OEM Land-Rover one which was quite perished and cracked in places and was overdue for replacement..

I replaced them with a pair of (used, but in good nick) OEM Land-Rover ones. I wonder how much difference in ride I will notice now that the two are identical instead of different?

    Hi Willem,

    Happy new year to you.

I bet you'll notice no diffenrence in ride.

I drove 1000 km with 1 Arnott Gen3 (that modifies the ride) and 1 Arnott Gen2 (that has same ride as OEM) and couldn't tell any difference in highway and standard setting.

    Cheers

    Florent

Speaking of which, what are the Arnott springs like in general i.e durability, ride & height?
