    error 6 is a focus/lense issue.
    I had it show up recently and tried to run a cleaner disc without success. I then removed the changer and lifted the top cover. The lense is just visible towards the centre hub mechanism, a bit of a gentle clean with lense cleaner fluid on a small paint brush fixed the problem.
    The lense will not necessarily look dirty but give it a clean anyway.

    The RR changer actually had an error 2, not an error 6. (Load eject error)My mistake.

    PaulP38A.... any joy with that aftermarket CD changer?
