Love/hate rollercoaster
Sigh, I've replaced every single piece of cooling equipment in my car over the last year - including two new radiators as the first (brand new) one was destroyed when my viscous fan exploded and put shards of plastic through it, denting my bonnet at the same time
So I didn't think it unreasonable to think I'd done with the cooling repairs for a while....
Bleeping valley gasket has now developed a leak at the rear of the engine
Almost invisible until I stick a camera down there and see the evidence. It's a pretty slow leak, coolant level barely dropping and it evaporates before it hits the floor, just leaving traces of red behind.
Looks like blood oozing out

So I've got a new valley gasket on it's way and I guess I've got to rip into it sooner rather than later. Looks a bit easier on the GEMS engines than Thors, I had a good look over Pauls 'engine refresh' photo's on his Thor and for once I'm glad I've got a GEMS !

Let me know if you want a hand with it Clark.
I'm no mechanic, but good at helping out and keeping the fluid intake up!
And actually doing something on a P38 would be good for me for a change... instead of continually thinking/procrastinating about it!
