Auto Transmission Flare
Hi,
My auto started flaring between 2nd and 3rd.
That means, is slips (revs up) between changes.
So what are the possible reasons?
What should I do?
Engines, I can take apart and I'm quite competent, but transmissions I know nothing about. So here comes the choices: -
1. Pay some dude to fix it for me
2. Changeover 2nd hand auto
3. Fix it myself
Assuming option 1, who would anyone recommend in Melbourne?
Assuming option 3, what do you think the problem is?
" ", if clutches, has anyone done it, and is it an easy-ish job?
Found some sites on the web for reference: -

Get AMV in Ringwood to have a look at it first... then (if req'd) get a recommend on trans people from them.
I am pretty DIY and value concious and they are my P38 "GO TO" guys when I can't work something out. I have been refering Melbourne AULRO people to them for a while now and am yet to hear a bad word about them.
