Hmmm depends on your sizes, I found with the factory standard size tires/rim the wheels won't fit in that position in my car by nearly two inches, so I would have to either cut into the floor and put a divot in like the classic's, or move the back seat a bit.

I have seen a p38 with the wheel in that spot, I am not sure if trim was removed or modified or if the tire was just deflated.

Have you seen my earlier thread on this ? http://www.aulro.com/afvb/p38a-range...orted-out.html

There's ample room in the location mine is fitted. My wheels are 30.5" - well above the standard 29" wheels and there's still room for bigger - not sure 33's would fit though... There is a small gap behind the seat and the tyre (tyre doesn't touch seat) and about 2-3cm gap to the back door. It looks like the tyre will stick out a bit at first - but it is deceptive as the upper rear door is recessed once closed.

Mine is now covered with matching fabric to the rest of the interior. I've used two mounts - one screwed through the centre of the wheel into a bracket around the subwoofer and another bracket utilising the child restraint bolts. Combined they make it rock solid with zero movement - although either singly would work I was a little paranoid and used both. Been using it like this for over a year now - over all sorts of terrain.

no lpg and the 32's are way to big to fit in the hole, i used to just leave the spare on the floor but after the speaker box went in it would no longer fit.
