Good find there Steve. Would that still allow you to open up the roof?

Does anybody know of some compatible feet that could be used with a rack like the killa? Looks like the killa needs cross rails, which raises its height considerably.

The standard (OEM) cross rails would probably do the job. You need some space to be able to allow the sunroof to operate (even if "accidentally").
The rack itself seems like it could withstand a lot of punishment... but it's attached to the crossbars with quite slim U-bolts and hand tightened nuts. The crossbars in turn, are held in place with very small screws... just saying...
BTW, a 6'rack needs to be moved as far forward as possible so as not to damage the upper tailgate when fully opened...

    Hi

Seems like some different needs here Ron didn't like the fact that he couldn't clean under the Tradesman rack but the other side of the coin is the rack getting too high off the car.

I agree the mountings on the killa could be better but it looks like it may be able to be attached using the standard bolt type arrangement

Personally I like the roof hugging profile. Never really touch the sunroof. At present I have the factory rails, rhino clamps with HD aero bars, topped off with the rhino rack aluminium affair. Great set up if a little fiddly to install . And it sits quite high & probably doesn't use all the space available. In considering an alternate, I'd like the option of fitting a roof tent. Just saying. Just in case like. Therefore the 1/3 rack/basket and 2/3 tray is quite appealing to me.

And all with a load limit of 75kg including the rack - yeah?

I made my own because I absolutly hate weight up top for stablilty reasons but I have a roof top tent so this is what I made.

The text actually fits 3/4 on the fabricated rack and the last 1/4 ends up on the factory rails. My fabricated rack had to match the height of the factory rails.

    There gone now.

The fold is now glued and clipped at the bottom. Been tested at 130km/h.

    Happy Days
