    P38 dashboard cleanup

Would appreciate advice on how to remove abrasion/slight scratches in the finish on the trim section immediately below the central vents /above the Cruise/EAS switch panel..
    Thanks

    Hi Hoges,

I have a friend who had a dash that was scuffed and slight abrasions as well as fading.
Take the most extremely fine wetndry sandpaper and lightly ( very lightly ) take off any roughness, make certain that the papare is always wet.
Once done and to your satisfaction, apply Meguires Gold Class Trim Detailer...( about $20 in auto shops ( Bursons ) and rub in. It brings a lightly oiled look but also it brings the colour back. I think the more applications you use, the scratches etc eventually will get filled in with the Meguires. But it is very good also for bring back your bumpers, trim etc etc back to new

    Cheers

Let us know how you go with the clean-up Hoges. My missus commented that her "Rosie the Rangie" (so much for the Hard Range Black Label Edition ) has some scratches there too.

I think the centre console on my blue P38 is a bit beyond repair... might have to get in to a bidding war with Hoges for one of Glen's

    Cheers, Paul.

If after all your deals are done and there is a top dash in one piece I would be interested. Dont mind about scratches digs fading etc just in one piece.

Have you seen those wood trim kits?

1996 - 2002 RANGE ROVER WOOD CARBON ALUM DASH TRIM KIT | eBay

Might be an option, I've seen a couple installed and they do look great.
