Buying a RR P38
Hi all, I have come across a 1999 4.0 RR P38 after doing some research on here and on the general internet & found that 99 models had the Bosch FI system, but which month did it start as the site I found said the following:
"The 1999 "4.0 model" was exactly the same as a 1998 "4.0 SE" and if you looked closely you could see where the "SE" stickers were peeled off. LRNA decided at the last minute to rename the model to differentiate them from the new 4.0 SE models with the new Bosch FI that were introduced a couple months into the 1999 model year".
So a couple means two so, does that mean I should check if the RR I'm looking at it built after Feb 99?!
Any help would be great thanks!

Just look at the inlet manifold/plenum chamber, that will tell you if it's Bosch or gems efi

It ending up having the Gems engine, so I'm still looking... I might look at a V8 D2 as another option as there's more to choose from.
