From what I gathered the car thought someone was literally jumping it so it went into protection mode! It was fine once the jumpers were off and eka code entered!

To try and help kimandy in his dilemma, my suggestion would be to call land rover and get your eka code, it will probably be the solution! Unless somehow one of the ecu's has copped a drenching! Although even after a drowning, my previous p38 didn't require the eka...

In some locations EM radiation stop your fob working and ham things up. Try locking and unlocking with the fob at your home location to disarm.

Secondly, I believe the default EKA 1515 was only for NAS spec RRs? Get the real EKA for the vehicle and try it. If that doesnt work then it pretty much means that the door lock microswitch mechanism is broken (and may have been for a long time), this happened to me. It shows itself only when you become immobilised.

Thirdly, if your RR went into confused mode due to failing battery or poor earth situation then the BeCM might have forgotten your ECU code sync?

    Need some diagnostics.

We don't know the year model. Early Aust. delivered P38A didn't have one. Mine doesn't.

    It's a 1995 HSE.
I believe they don't have a EKA code.

We are in Melbourne too, but unfortunately I have had zero experience with this sort of no start issue apart from the usual intereference to remotes near to mobile towers (my best guess common denominator).

Cheer up though as you will definetley get the Platinum-Diamond AULRO Award for "Worst Ever Gems P38a let down timing" out of this experience. Probably not a good time for humour though hey?

Where about's in Melbourne are you and where do you need to get to tomorrow? We can't help with the car fix but may be able to help with getting you somewhere early in the morning (assuming it works in with our movements).

Hope we can help in some way, Dave.

    Thanks Dave.

When is the awards night on? I'm looking forward to that.. Better get to work on my speach.

I'll be right tommorow.. Got that sorted. But if I don't get the Rangie sorted out soon, my next post may read something like "For Sale"

    Cool

Glad that it won't spoil your day tomorrow then mate.

If you are in the east of Melbourne try calling AMV in Ringwood (1/513 Maroondah Hwy Ringwood VIC 3134 (03) 9870 9904) for advice/fix if nothing workable comes up on here. Although, I would be VERY surprised if someone hasn't an experience/learning to share.

Tell the boys at AMV you were steered to them from forum members at AULRO and I'm sure they'll do their best to look after you... they have always done the right thing by me and most of the people I have heard reports from.

Can't wait for that speech either! There might be a chance at a "presentation night" at the Mud bash near Shepparton early next year if you can get up there!
