Mmmmmm ...
Feeling the pressure? Paul

2012 is not looking to be a quieter year like I hoped for:
- Driving home on Friday 23-Dec in my Crewman Ute, the temp gauge goes up near the red. "Hmm, must be that water pump the mechanic warned me about months ago" thinks I. New water pump is at home, so should do that over the 2 week break. Would be a pretty easy job in the P38, not so sure about the Holden 3.6L V6. Still not done.
- after going away for a few days, came home and made a start cleaning up the back yard. Still not finished, or even 50%.
- Wifey wanted a vacuum cleaner for her P38 last week. No worries, I applaud that, so off to Gerry's place we go. Somehow walked out with a new TV and lounge suite being delivered this Friday. Down side is that I promised to paint the lounge room, rip out the carpet and put a floating floor in before the lounge suite arrived. There goes my plans of spending quality time with the P38's over the break.
- Painting is done, so jumped in my P38 to go get the flooring. Was sitting a bit low and not raising. No motion on the compressor. Plugged in the netbook and EAS Unlock Cable - no faults, and the compressor did not respond to manual operation. Weird, but didn't have time or inclination to play further. Still not diagnosed/fixed.
- Used Wifey's P38 instead, bring home a few hundred Kg of floating floor. Was a little concerned that the old stock air springs at the rear might have a problem, but it lifted right away and got home fine. Later in the day got a call from Wifey saying that she got an EAS Fault. She used her EAS Buddy to clear the fault, but it returned, so she left it plugged in and drove home. Late last night, I used the netbook to find a "RL signal incorrect" fault. Sensor or something else I wonder? Cleared fault and all was fine. Today she took the Freelander instead of her car. Just as well... when I moved her car, it went in to hard fault and dumped to the bump stops with faults on all sensors. Still not diagnosed/fixed.
And then there are all the things I wanted to do before going back to work next week, including:
- change disc pads and bleed brakes (his and hers)
- change oil and coolant (his and hers)
- change shocks (hers)
- fit Gen III rears (hers)
- fit colour coded front and rear bumpers (hers)
- Get new rims from Bundalene and swap tyres (hers)
- use old rims from hers for new 33"s for mine
- do something about the Hard Range web site
- get the spreadsheet accounting to agree with MYOB so I can get the accountant to process the Hard Range company accounts
- get the iPad version of EAS Unlock working (don't hold your breath)
- other stuff that is just a blur now.
Is it just me, or are other folks having a busier than expected start to the new year?
Cheers, Paul.

What a list! Mine's not quite as long as yours but still enough to keep me busy for a month!
Hope some of it comes together for you!

Hi Paul
Its a toss up who has been the naughtiest in their previous life, me or you.
My list does look as long as yours, with Fred the disco with his fancy array of fine threads ( spider webs ) being the longest time, at the top of my list.
The only way out that I can see in my situation, is to put a call out for some enlightened person, to send me a pamphlet on a introduction to Buddhism!
That way, what I don't get done in this life time, I will leave until the next.

Paul,
To your work list, can you add "Give Garry's RRS a 60,000km service including, changing tfr and diff oils, a basic gearbox oil change, change the brake fluid, change the brake pads, wash and polish the car"
After that - the 101 needs a full service and a new speedo cable.
Can you let me know when you are available.
Happy New Year

Given the responses it would seem that those that share an obsession with range rovers also share a dark past
Maybe it is just a bloke thing to always have a never-ending list of excuses to get out of going to girly things like Floriade? Damn, I am missing Summer Nats too.
Garry - 11 December 2013 is free at this stage. Shall we lock it in?
Smoko over, back to the floorboards...
Cheers, Paul.
