    Will have to workout how to do pic's, Glen if you do the sports muffler let us know the sound and if any power benefits, also I always use K&N filters where's the best place to buy them from for the P38 I buy them from the states for my bikes.

    The advice around here is that the oil from K&Ns is very dangerous for the MAF. The MAF sensor is a very important part of the fuelling system and P38s dont like them being gunked up. If you use one, I would be very careful not to over-oil, and stick to the paper element type unless you are certain.

    x 2 stay well away...good product ...wrong application!!

    Edit: K&N filters remind me of my Grandad's 1948 Vauxhall... it had an oil filled aircleaner... his practical joker son-in-law a.k.a. my Dad, used occasionally service it for him and amuse us all by ever so slightly overfilling the canister. ... Pop would come and collect his car and as he disappeared around the bend at a rate of knots, oil would flow into the carby mouth and lay a smoke screen like a destroyer... but I digress, it's late...

    I removed the rear muffler hoping for some noise and it didn't happen! Got a high flow sports centre muffler now and a "hot dog" in place at the rear. If you have a sports muffler and no rear one you will get a drone at highway speeds.

    Which is why I still have the stock front muffler - no drone with mine.

    To close out this thread, I did put in a sports muffler and nothing else. The note is excellent idling and driving, but at 2000 (100kph for me with 32"s) there is a slight resonance drone. See this thread. Perhaps putting the resonator back on will allow me to keep the rumble and eliminate the drone.
