good news/bad news
good news is the faultmate will probably give you a clue as to what's wrong...bad news is that Faultmates are sold with a licence specific to a particular V.I.N. unless you pay multi$$$ for an unlocked version (which are intended for professional =for money use and are therefore significantly more expensive). So you would have to be lucky to find someone with an unlocked version...there are some no doubt!

The fuel filter is in the tank attached to the fuel pump structure. there is no secondary fuel filter to the best of my knowledge on the later Australian spec vehicles.

Have you checked to ensure the H/T leads are properly secured on the plugs and esp. in the coil block?

Thats where I'd start looking too. And plugs. Mine developed a miss. Found one plug lead burnt out. Only found it when it came apart in my hand whilest trying to remove it. No visible signs

if you were in Canberra (or Queanbeyan to be specific) you could come over and use my multi-vehicle FaultMate, or Nanocom Evo 2 with P38 licence (multi-vehicle)...

May well be a an issue with the HT leads or coil pack, but don't discount that the new Crank Pos Sensor may be faulty. I have had a dud one before that played up within a week of it being fitted.

Thanks for the offer Paul, I had wondered whether we could connect your faultmate remotely via the 'net- food for thought for the techies out there.

I've heard there's a guy operating a LR garage in Brooklyn, makes sense to pay for a diagnosis (although I suspect a dud CPS).

I should take a photo as the old girl is looking forlorn sitting on her arse in the driveway, at an angle on a busted airbag.

I may just take the opportunity to rebuild the braking system, replace the rear bags and weld up the rear silencer as well as hunt down the fueling probs.

Funny you should mention that... BBS have been working on such a beastie for a while. They call it "Project Genesis" and it is in early field test for CAN Bus vehicles at the moment. I've volunteered my P38's and Freelender if/when they ever support them. Not holding my breath though

FWIW Had cause to visit a Citroen dealer recently for a friend. Don't know if this is common but dealer diagnostic setup was simply a laptop connected via the web to the Citroen mainframes in France... no independent local capability available... all service history etc from dealers globally on the company mainframe servers... must be a hell of a database for repair/maintenance schedules etc for each model...

is there anyone close to Newport that I can borrow a faultmate to rent/trade/beer up
