Goodonya Dave, it is the helpful and collegiate attitude of blokes like you that make the Land Rover community a great place to be part of.
Let's hope that other folks treat it in the spirit in which it is given.
Cheers, Paul.
Stage One AULRO VIC P38 Emergency Tools-Parts Kit - COMPLETED.
We now have on hand a spare valve block and compressor. Any Melbourne/VIC AULRO-ian’s that want to do these maintenance job’s can loan these parts. At this stage I am thinking I will re-co them, test them and lend them out on the premise that they are used as a back-up while the team member is re-building their own units. It should give some comfort if you need to do the job as a swap out so your P38 can remain running-available while doing the bench top re-builds. Things can go wrong in life, so it might be that interruptions mean it takes more than half a day to complete the job. Again, this can just add a level of comfort to the task.
Note: Some time ago, Paul also sent me a few sets of valve block and compressor re-build kits for purchase and use by anyone with URGENT needs. So now (in Melbourne at least) P38 EAS breakdowns should be able to be resolved same or next day with a lot less drama for AULRO’ians!
Next on the AULRO VICtools-parts list… a set of calibration blocks, and maybe a diagnostic tool.
P38 stuff for emergency loan out – AULRO VIC.
Re-co Valve Block
Re-co Compressor

Four Standard front and rear shocks
2 X front and 2 X rear height sensors
Crank angle sensor
Full set of orange indicators and tail/rear fog lights

Feel free to add to the “stuff” list or even start one for your state/territory… Perhaps we can then put a P38 emergency help spread sheet up somewhere in the tech pages. Just PM me if you need access to this stuff.
I will review this thread every now and then and try to create some sort of usable list/spreadsheet.
Hoo-Roo,
Dave.

Great Idea to put up a list of spares you have and are willing to loan.
I have a good spare EAS compressor a Thor Bosch 150amp alternator and a 4 pin Diff here in WA that I would be happy to loan short term. If anyone wanted to use the diff to fit a locker I would be happy to take their one back as long as its a good one like mine, after the swap was done
( Alternator is also for sale in the markets section)
Dang, a spare relay box just went on ebay for about $20 I think.
If you want to build up parts cheap, keep scanning Ebay in the UK and the US.
Roger in LRC-ACT, on being shown the Nanocom, said they club used to maintain a list of people who had skills in repair etc. Similiarly, perhaps its easier to do the reverse - when you get stuck, there's a MAYDAY thread. Put in the nature of distress and location and see who can help you out. We do this for CanberraRiders.org.au
I have an eas ecu and 2 rear height sensors, and in 3 months a valve block, pump, and a nanocom.
I'd have no hesitation if someone were to come over after work or on w/ends to fix a problem on their car either.
