    Replacement Key

I have no affiliation with this firm or know anyone who has had a key made however they seem to know their stuff and might be able to provide keys at a reasonable price.
    Range Rover P38 Key

They can`t do all fobs, they must be 433mhz. The label on the key must have CE**** or MPT1340.
They can send a grabber to Aus to clone your old remote or in most cases get info direct from a dead remote to clone it if you send your dead remote to them.
The new fob is not a flip type and the key blade will need to be cut.
The price is 80 UK pounds plus any shipping ( A$120ish )

Please give us no any positive or negative feedback if you have had a fob made by them

Looks good, Wayne. I don't know if I have a key 1 or 2 and the CE**** and MPT IDs don't mean much to me. I wonder where they are.

The reply I got from the seller whilst I was enquiring was

Look at the label on the key and see if it says CE**** or MPT1340...? they will be 433 mhz
315 mhz remotes are usually marked FCC...
Problem is with older remotes the label wears off and then the only way to check is with a frequency detector.

In my case just for reference, on the back of the Key a white label clearly says

    CE0682 HUF/CEL Key 1

He cannot clone the 315mhz types as he only has the 433 blanks
As he Clones only it wont make any difference if its key one or Two

Thank you Wayne. I was trawling the web trying to work out what my spare set of remotes identified as, and Google led me here...

Looks like I have the right ones... hen's teeth

    I wish !

I have only one key ....

    I want to replace the batteries ( cr2025 ) .
Is there any tricks or tips - as i have read they may 'lose' their connection to the cars becm ?
I dont have the eka code .

As the key is a one of , it would be frustrating to bugger it up !

I am at present 50kms from the car so it should not transmit ......

    Any assistance greatly appreciated .

changed the batteries in my remote a couple of times, lost the connection both time, on the gems all you need to do is put the key in the drivers door, hold down the lock button whilst locking with the key, unlock the same way and you are good to go, takes about 5 seconds and has always worked for me.

I have no idea if the bosch is the same though

Old out , New in . Worked first time !

Interestingly , the remote locking was getting a bit 'dicky ' so that was my motivation the change remote batteries . I didn't get the dash message .

So , one battery was at just on 2 volts ,the other was 3.2 volts . new ones were both 3.6 volts . But dont know when they were changed last .

My case is just about rooted , I imagine it has only one more battery change in it - very difficult to get open or close the battery cover its just about worn smooth ......
